1965 Ford Mustang
This sensational street legal race Mustang has recently been the subject of a complete bare shell nut and bolt restoration. It has a comprehensive specification and is ready for race and/or road use.
During the restoration the body was completely stripped and soda blasted back to bare metal. Over 1500 hours were spent making the body even better than the day it rolled out of the factory. Every panel has been given endless attention to make sure it was right, and the lines of the car are second to none.
The engine is a race built small block 302 Ford, dyno'd at 372 bhp with a four barrel Holley, installed in one of the best looking Mustang engine bays ever. Cooling is handled by a custom made aluminium radiator with twin fans, with a Mocal Oil cooler below. The fuel is housed in an ATL fuel cell fed with Aeroquip hosing.
The impressive specification also includes a Tremec 5 speed manual gearbox, McLeod twin plate clutch, Moser 9" Tru Trac rear axle with new disc brakes, complete Stage 3 Cobra Automotive race front disc brakes & suspension and Stage 3 rear race suspension with slider mounts. The car also has a new Painless wiring loom with new Autometer gauges and an HRT aluminium engine brace system.
The interior of the car is fully stripped out, and incorporates a six point certificated roll cage and a new race seat and four point race harness. There is provision for a second seat and harness and the car is fully road legal and MOT'd.
Eligible for race series such as CSCC Swinging Sixties or AMOC Intermarque; also an ideal Tour Brittania or track day car......yet also immaculate enough for shows.
